innogy International Middle East (innogy IME) and Advizzo Ltd implemented the largest customer engagement program in the Middle East. The program has been rolled out to residential water and electricity customers in the Emirate of Dubai.
The solution uses behavioural science, big data analytics and artificial intelligence to encourage customers to save water and electricity. Each Dubai resident receives a personalized benchmark of his water and electricity consumption compared with similar homes, alongside personalised conservation actions.
“We strive to support the Smart Dubai initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the happiest and smartest city in the world. Our vision at Innogy International Middle East (innogy IME) is to become a leader of the Smart Living transformation, focusing on the three pillars of Smart Living that include Smart Cities, Smart Energy and Smart Business. We are partnering with many specialised companies as we aim to make the world more sustainable, smarter and digitally empowered, with a high quality of life and happiness,” says His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of Innogy International Middle East LLC and MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
“We are very proud of this important milestone. The UAE and Dubai are taking a leading role to implement the latest innovative technologies and we are honoured to be a trusted partner in this transformation. In addition, this is also a perfect showcase of our focused investment strategy. We invested in Advizzo in 2016 with the clear goal to respond to future market demand and drive the Smart Living transformation towards a sustainable future.” says Pierre Samaties, Managing Partner & CEO of innogy IME.
This program is an important step in Dubai’s sustainability journey, and we are thrilled to be part of it. Social benchmarking is a powerful driver for change, and we are grateful that we were able to bring such innovations to the Middle East. Behavioural science and data science can definitely do more to motivate behaviour change in the region to support sustainability initiatives. This is only the beginning,” comments Patrice Guillouzic, CEO of Advizzo.
